The idea behind Startup Open House, as hinted by the name, is to open up the vibrant start-up community for everyone to discover. Entrepreneurs show the rest of the audience a prototype of their product or a new feature they’ve been working on. This is a great opportunity to understand what the delhi startups are up to, give feedback, advice and learn a few mistakes to avoid.

Each demo is followed by a round of 5-minute favours. The idea is simple – everybody present, exchange simple 5-minute favours. In 5 minutes a person can – Comment on the website user experience; Introduce two people with a well-written email; Share or retweet something on Facebook or Twitter; and so on.

We just hosted the 7th edition of startup open house at our Delhi hub. We were joined by about 130+ curious people, including students, entrepreneurs, freelancers, tech- enthusiasts and other professionals.

Three startups gave their product demos; Mailbird (a super efficient Email Client), being the first one; followed by My Butler(India’s first and only premium hyperlocal startup) and Snapcape (an online portal where you can sell and buy photographs).

“Participating in these kind of event enables us to meet great people that are curious to know what we do and develop local awareness around our startup! Also, it creates a place where people can come visit and share the projects they’re involved in.” says Anurag Vijesh Ailawadi, Founder of Film Banana Production.

This is one of our flagship events and something we’ll continue hosting because creating conversations and opportunities is what what we love to do![/x_text][/x_column][/x_row][/x_section]

  1. That’s really great! I’m sure this must be one of the successful events of yours
I also believe this is a brilliant idea wherein each co-worker gets an opportunity to highlight and share the USP’s of their businesses which act as a breeding platform to generate more business. If you are best at doing something, its good to share it. You never know, when your passion gets a chance to become your profession, thereby giving you the best of both worlds.
